With more than 30 years of experience in the field, our mission is to encourage thoughtful discussion, responsible investigation, ongoing research, and a deeper understanding of the unexplained through critical thinking, open-minded inquiry, historical awareness, research, experimentation, and evidence-based evaluation.
Our work begins with paranormal investigation, but it extends into the wider study of anomalous experience, supernatural belief, consciousness, parapsychology, folklore, environmental influences, spiritual claims, EVP, ITC, and the deeper questions people ask when they encounter something they cannot easily explain.
You do not need to be an academic, scientist, or experienced investigator to understand the heart of this work. The Initiative is meant to make serious paranormal research more approachable while still giving experienced investigators and contributors a place for deeper study.

The word paranormal covers more than haunted houses and ghost stories. It can include claims of apparitions, hauntings, EVP, ITC, crisis apparitions, intuitive experiences, synchronicities, place memory, psychical research, spiritual phenomena, altered states, consciousness-related experiences, and reports that appear to fall outside ordinary explanation.
The Paranormal Initiative approaches these subjects with curiosity, caution, and respect. We do not treat every claim as proof, but we also do not believe every experience should be dismissed without thoughtful review.
Some areas, including consciousness studies, parapsychology, and quantum physics, are often discussed in relation to paranormal ideas. These subjects must be handled carefully. We recognize their importance in larger conversations about reality, perception, energy, information, and experience while avoiding exaggerated claims or using scientific language as a shortcut for proof.
We recognize that people enter this field for many different reasons. Some are investigators. Some are researchers. Some are experiencers. Some are explorers of historic places, haunted locations, folklore, legends, and local mysteries. Some are interested in consciousness, spirituality, survival research, parapsychology, and the possibility that human experience may be more complex than current models can fully explain.
Others are simply curious about the unknown.
Growth occurs when we are willing to question our assumptions, challenge our conclusions, and remain open to new information. It is both honorable and credible to discover that something we once believed was incorrect after examining it from multiple perspectives.
The pursuit of truth should never be limited by ego. It should be guided by curiosity, humility, patience, and integrity.
The Paranormal Initiative was created to build a stronger foundation for paranormal education, applied research, responsible investigation, and public understanding. It is not intended to control the paranormal community, replace independent teams, or claim authority over every experience. Its purpose is to provide structure, resources, collaboration, and a place where serious work can be shared, reviewed, and improved.
Improving standards means turning good intentions into practical action. That includes clearer documentation methods, better evidence handling, original-file preservation, contamination control, careful review language, ethical field practices, educational resources, contributor research, and open discussion about what we know, what we do not know, and what still needs to be tested.
The goal is to create a professional resource for paranormal investigators, researchers, educators, teams, and the public. The Initiative supports education, field methodology, EVP and ITC research, environmental awareness, historical research, anomalous experience studies, parapsychology-related discussion, and responsible evaluation of supernatural claims.
The long-term vision is a contributor-based research and education platform where serious articles, papers, field notes, media, experiments, and practical resources can be collected in one organized place.
Board and advisory members should help guide the direction, ethics, quality, and usefulness of the organization. Their role is to provide perspective, professional experience, field knowledge, subject-matter insight, and honest feedback.
Responsibilities may include reviewing major educational direction, advising on standards and terminology, identifying weak claims or missing context, supporting ethical decisions, encouraging collaboration, and helping connect the Initiative with qualified contributors, investigators, researchers, educators, and teams.
Standards become useful only when they can be practiced. The Initiative is focused on building usable tools such as investigation checklists, evidence review guidelines, EVP and ITC contamination controls, documentation templates, equipment-use guidance, historical research methods, terminology references, article libraries, contributor papers, and public education.
The purpose is not to make everyone investigate the same way. The purpose is to help people make fewer avoidable mistakes, preserve better records, communicate claims more honestly, and separate personal experience from evidence-based conclusions.
The foundation of The Paranormal Initiative began with one person doing the work necessary to build the structure, write the early materials, develop the tools, and organize the vision. That was never meant to be the final form.
The larger goal is collaboration. Contributors, board members, investigators, researchers, educators, historians, technicians, experiencers, and teams should be able to add knowledge, share research, submit papers, discuss methods, and help the resource grow beyond one person's perspective.
Our work extends beyond traditional paranormal investigation. We actively research EVP, Instrumental Transcommunication, environmental influences, investigative methodology, historical claims, folklore, witness testimony, consciousness, parapsychology, and anomalous experiences.
Research and experimentation are central to this work. That includes audio review, environmental monitoring, field documentation, historical comparison, equipment testing, controlled review methods, and careful language when discussing claims that cannot yet be fully explained.
ACS, the Aetheric Communication System, was created as an EVP and ITC experimentation platform designed around phonemes and allophones rather than predefined words, phrases, or language databases.
This research focuses on structured audio experimentation, contamination awareness, original-file preservation, phonetic review, and cautious interpretation of voice-like material. The goal is not to force conclusions, but to build more disciplined ways to explore EVP and ITC phenomena.
