Some people are excited by it, some are cautious, and some are concerned about what it may change. The Paranormal Initiative treats AI as a tool that requires transparency, boundaries, and responsible use.
AI can help organize information, explain concepts, suggest reading paths, support research notes, and make educational material easier to navigate. It should not authenticate evidence, declare paranormal conclusions, replace investigator judgment, or create false certainty.
AI can help summarize notes, organize sources, compare terminology, draft outlines, and point users toward relevant site materials.
AI can explain methods, equipment, EVP, ITC, investigation workflow, haunted location research, and responsible review language.
AI can assist with report structure, field-note organization, readability, and consistency while preserving the investigator's original observations.
AI-assisted writing, graphics, or research support should be labeled when appropriate, checked against sources, and reviewed by a human.
AI should not be used to manufacture evidence, over-enhance media, invent sources, or turn an unresolved observation into a paranormal conclusion.
Artificial intelligence can be useful when it improves access to knowledge, organization, and education. It becomes harmful when it creates false confidence, hides uncertainty, or replaces careful human review.
