When you are investigating a location, what is the very first thing you focus on?
Is it setting up equipment right away, walking the location first, asking questions and trying to get a response, checking for environmental factors, or something else entirely?
There is no wrong answer here. The goal is to understand how different investigators approach the start of a case.
How an investigation begins often determines how reliable the results will be. The first decision can shape what gets documented, what gets missed, and how later events are interpreted.
