During a walkthrough, investigators carefully observe the property and look for environmental factors that could influence what people are experiencing.

A responsible walkthrough includes practical site observations such as electrical panels and wiring, HVAC systems and air vents, plumbing that may cause knocking sounds, structural movement in floors or walls, natural light sources and reflections, and areas where EMF levels may already be elevated.

These observations help investigators identify ordinary conditions before later events are interpreted.

Once the walkthrough is complete, investigators establish baseline environmental readings. These readings document normal levels of EMF, temperature, sound, and environmental fluctuations within the location.

Without baseline readings, investigators have nothing to compare against during the investigation. If an EMF spike occurs later, how do we know whether that reading is unusual? If a temperature change happens, how do we know whether it is part of the normal environment?

Baseline readings provide context for everything that follows.
