Over the past several months, I have been hard at work developing AetherSpectra SLS, a native SLS Camera System built specifically for paranormal research.

There is still plenty of work ahead, but it is exciting to finally see everything coming together and to be able to share some of the features that are already working.

AetherSpectra SLS is being developed for macOS, iPadOS, and iOS.

The goal is to give investigators a connected research platform whether they are working on a Mac, carrying an iPad in the field, or using an iPhone as part of their investigation workflow.

This is not meant to be just another mobile ghost hunting app. It is being built as a professional research platform that supports documentation, experimentation, and responsible review.

Unlike many mobile apps, AetherSpectra SLS is designed to work with real Microsoft Kinect hardware.

That means the SLS features are based on actual depth and skeletal tracking data from the sensor rather than simulated effects or decorative overlays.

To use the SLS hardware features, investigators will need their own compatible Microsoft Kinect sensor and adapter.

Some of the features currently in development include real-time skeletal tracking, multi-camera viewing, Apple Silicon optimized performance, research-focused tools and overlays, and native support for macOS, iPadOS, and iOS.

The interface is being designed specifically for field investigations, with the goal of helping investigators understand and document what their equipment is actually detecting.

This project has become much more than just another ghost hunting app.

My goal has always been to build a professional research platform that investigators can trust while documenting what their equipment is actually detecting.

The focus is not on fake effects or forced evidence. The focus is on transparency, real sensor input, field usability, and better documentation.

As AetherSpectra SLS continues to grow, beta testing will become an important part of the process.

Feedback from investigators will help shape how the platform works in real field conditions and what tools are most useful during actual investigations.
