There is a lot of discussion and confusion around how everyday devices, especially cell phones, interact with EMF meters such as the K2.

Instead of guessing, let's test it, document it, and compare results.

Place your cell phone on a table with the screen on.

Hold your K2 meter a short distance away from the phone.

Slowly move the K2 toward the phone and observe the distance where the meter begins to respond.

Note whether the response is immediate, inconsistent, repeated, or only present when the meter is very close to the device.

Play a video on the phone. YouTube works well for this because it keeps the device active and connected.

Repeat the same process by slowly moving the K2 toward the device.

Observe whether the active device creates a different response than the idle device.

If possible, repeat the test more than once to see whether the result is consistent.

The important details are simple: distance before activation, the difference between idle and active device behavior, and whether the results are consistent across repeated attempts.

If you record a short video, show the starting distance, the movement toward the phone, the meter response, and whether the phone is idle or actively playing media.

The goal is not to prove a single universal answer. The goal is to compare real-world conditions and learn what patterns appear across multiple investigators and devices.

Understanding how everyday technology influences EMF readings is critical during investigations.

If investigators do not control for phones, tablets, laptops, routers, wiring, and other possible sources, they risk misinterpreting normal electromagnetic interaction as something more.

Good field work begins with controlled variables, repeatable observation, and honest review.

Record a short video of your test and share the result with the community.

Compare idle versus active results, include the approximate activation distance, and note the phone model or device type if you are comfortable doing so.
