Advancing Professional Standards

What began as a way to support better paranormal investigation, documentation, and evidence review has developed into a broader research and education initiative.

Today, our work includes responsible paranormal investigation, EVP and ITC research, equipment literacy, environmental awareness, historical inquiry, consciousness studies, field methodology, technology development, professional reporting, and investigator education.

Our purpose is to help advance professional practices throughout the paranormal field through education, research, ethics, truth, honor, and integrity.

Improving standards means creating practical resources people can actually use: better documentation habits, clearer evidence review, original-file preservation, contamination awareness, responsible communication, ethical fieldwork, and a stronger shared knowledge base.

Advisory Members

The Professional Advisory Board will be composed of experienced investigators, researchers, educators, historians, technical professionals, and subject-matter specialists who can contribute diverse perspectives and practical knowledge.

Through collaboration, ethical leadership, education, and research, Advisory Members will help guide The Paranormal Initiative's efforts to advance responsible paranormal investigation, strengthen professional practices, improve investigator education and mentorship, encourage meaningful research and experimentation, develop better documentation and reporting methods, promote responsible technology use, support honest public communication, and encourage continual learning throughout the paranormal community.

Advisory Board participation is not intended to control how every investigator works or establish a single mandatory investigation style. The paranormal field includes many perspectives, specialties, experiences, and methods. Our goal is to bring knowledgeable people together, learn from those differences, and improve the resources available to investigators and researchers.

Advisory participation is also not meant to place all responsibility on one person. The foundation of the Initiative has been built so that others can help shape, review, contribute, and expand the work over time.

The Paranormal Initiative Philosophy

At The Paranormal Initiative, we believe the unknown is worthy of thoughtful exploration, responsible investigation, and lifelong learning.

Our purpose is to encourage education, research, and collaboration while providing investigators, researchers, and enthusiasts with the knowledge and tools needed to better understand reported paranormal phenomena.

We recognize that the paranormal field contains many perspectives, experiences, specialties, and investigative traditions. By sharing knowledge, improving our methods, developing useful tools, and encouraging respectful discussion, we hope to contribute to a deeper understanding of the unknown.

The Paranormal Initiative exists to support responsible investigation through education, documentation, technological innovation, historical inquiry, experimentation, and open research.

Our goal is not simply to ask questions. Our goal is to continually improve how those questions are explored.

Investigate Carefully

Approach every investigation with preparation, patience, curiosity, and professionalism.

Document Thoroughly

Create clear, organized, and meaningful records that preserve observations, conditions, experiences, and supporting information.

Interpret Responsibly

Consider findings thoughtfully, communicate observations honestly, and remain open to continued research and learning.

Who We Are Looking For

We are interested in hearing from investigators, researchers, educators, historians, writers, archivists, engineers, developers, technical specialists, equipment experts, EVP and ITC researchers, parapsychologists, consciousness researchers, evidence analysts, and experienced field investigators.

You do not need to specialize in every discipline. You do not need to be famous, appear on television, or have a large social-media following. We are looking for people who bring genuine knowledge, practical experience, thoughtful perspectives, ethical judgment, and a willingness to collaborate.

We are not looking for people who want to sensationalize the paranormal field. We are looking for people who want to help strengthen it.

Advisory Board Members should be willing to share ideas, review educational or research materials when appropriate, provide guidance within their areas of experience, and help The Paranormal Initiative continue developing meaningful resources for investigators and researchers.

If you believe the paranormal field deserves thoughtful research, better education, stronger documentation, responsible technology, ethical leadership, and meaningful collaboration, we would be honored to hear from you.

Please contact us through Facebook Messenger and tell us a little about yourself, your background, your areas of interest, and the experience or perspective you would like to contribute.
