The Paranormal Initiative
Responsible research and investigation into the unexplained.
The Paranormal Initiative is a community for investigators, ITC and EVP researchers, experiencers,
historians, builders, and curious people who want to take unusual experiences seriously without
rushing to easy answers.
Start with the basics, go deeper when you are ready, and use the research areas, education material,
repository, videos, and tools to learn, document carefully, ask better questions, and share knowledge
responsibly.
Start Here
Choose the path that fits where you are.
Beginners can start simple. Experienced investigators can jump into research, documentation,
media, and repository work without having to dig through the whole site first.
New To TPI?

Education Center
Learn through field articles, study material, EVP/ITC resources, methods, and contributor-ready research areas.
Investigation Repository
Browse field references, terminology, haunted-location material, equipment notes, documentation, and evidence-handling resources.

Why This Exists
A professional home for research, education, standards, and shared knowledge.
The Initiative exists to help investigators, researchers, teams, educators, and the public
explore unexplained experiences with better documentation, stronger evidence handling,
clearer terminology, ethical field practice, and more responsible communication.
This is not meant to control how every team investigates. It is meant to build useful resources,
preserve knowledge, support serious contributors, and encourage methods that reduce avoidable
mistakes while keeping curiosity alive.
What We Do
Practical work for a complicated field.
Research & Field Methodology
Developing structured approaches to intake, walkthroughs, baselines, investigation, review, reporting, and responsible classification.
EVP, ITC & ACS Experimentation
Exploring audio and instrumental transcommunication methods through contamination awareness, source transparency, and careful interpretation.
Education & Investigator Development
Creating field papers, reference material, lessons, articles, and study areas for investigators at different experience levels.
Ethics & Evidence Integrity
Encouraging original-file preservation, careful claim language, witness respect, privacy, and honest communication of uncertainty.
Historical & Haunted Location Study
Connecting reported phenomena with local history, folklore, architecture, environmental context, and documented location research.
Technology & Documentation Tools
Building and organizing tools that support case management, field documentation, research review, education, and experimentation.
Collaboration
Built to grow beyond one perspective.
The foundation of The Paranormal Initiative is being built now so contributors, advisory
members, investigators, researchers, historians, technicians, educators, experiencers, and
teams can help expand the work over time.
The long-term goal is a contributor-based research and education platform where full papers,
field notes, experiments, media, reference materials, and practical knowledge can be shared
in an organized and professional way.
