For years, paranormal investigators using macOS have had limited options. Many have had to install Windows through Boot Camp, run virtual machines, or simply miss out on software that was never designed for Apple devices.

That is one of the reasons I started developing AetherSpectra SLS.

Instead of adapting a Windows application, AetherSpectra SLS is being built from the ground up as a native Apple application.

The goal is to take advantage of Apple Silicon performance while providing a modern user experience for investigators who already work inside the Apple ecosystem.

Best of all, the project is not limited to the Mac.

AetherSpectra SLS is being developed for macOS, iPadOS, and iOS.

Whether you are reviewing evidence on your Mac, investigating with your iPad, or using your iPhone in the field, the goal is to provide a unified experience across the Apple ecosystem.

That shared approach is intended to make the platform feel familiar across devices while supporting different investigation workflows.

Important: AetherSpectra SLS is software only.

To use the SLS Camera features, investigators will need their own Microsoft Kinect for Xbox 360 sensor along with the Xbox 360 Kinect USB/Power Adapter. The software does not include Kinect hardware.

The SLS system is designed to work with compatible Microsoft Kinect hardware, providing real depth sensing and skeletal tracking data rather than simulated effects.

Apple users have waited a long time for professional paranormal investigation software designed specifically for their platform.

That wait is getting closer to being over.

AetherSpectra SLS is being developed to support paranormal researchers, investigators, and experimenters who want native Apple tools built with transparency and real sensor input in mind.

As the project moves closer to release, beta testing will become an important part of the process.
